Wolfgang Robinow ~~received the Silver Star on August 10, 1945. The citation reads, "The President of~~ the United States ~~of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9~~, ~~1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Master Sergeant Wolfgang F~~. ~~Robinow (ASN: 33004252), United States Army, for gallantry~~ in ~~action while serving~~ with ~~the~~ Military Intelligence Service~~, 42d~~ Infantry Division, ~~in action~~ on 16 April 1945, ~~near Perbach, Germany. When the~~ patrol ~~he accompanied as interpreter was~~ ambushed by strong enemy forces ~~on three sides, Sergeant Robinow noticed that~~ one ~~of his men~~ was wounded~~. Wolfgang F. Robinow was a German-born Jewish Ritchie Boy who emigrated to the United States and enlisted from Baltimore, Maryland. He trained at [[Camp Ritchie]] in Class 18 and served as an interpreter with IPW Team 155 and Military Intelligence Service elements attached to the 42nd Infantry Division.

Near Perbach, Germany, on 16 April 1945, Robinow was with a patrol ambushed by strong enemy forces. After one man was wounded, he returned with three tanks, directed their fire from atop one of the vehicles, then drove the wounded soldier to an aid station under fire though he was himself wounded in the left arm. He received the Silver Star for that action (presented 10 August 1945).

Robinow died in 2011.
