* 1942 — 1943 Attended City College for 1 year while living in New York. (ROTC?) 7 February 1943 Enlisted in U.S. Army (Pvt ASN 32817884).

* 8 May 1944 — Graduated with Class 17 as Pfc (Linguist 1) with Certificate 6433.

* 24 June 1944 — Ordered to depart on 25 June 1944 via Shipment 0865 to Camp Myles Standish, Taunton, MA for trans-shipment to England. Was assigned to IPW-Ge Team 157T (temporary designation) which consisted of.
