Calvin H. Bartholomew ( | Calvin Henry Bartholomew (8 January 1917–1991) was a Utah-born Ritchie Boy who interrogated German prisoners in North Africa and later returned to Camp Ritchie (Class 2) as an instructor.

Calvin | Calvin Henry Bartholomew was born on 8 January 1917 in Fayette, Utah. He attended Brigham Young University, was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and married on 20 December 1941 in the Manti Temple. The couple taught school in Utah before he entered the Army.
Bartholomew was drafted on 2 June 1942 at Fort Douglas, Utah (enlisted ASN 39026635). He took part in the landings at Casablanca in November 1942 and served as an interrogator of German prisoners of war in North Africa. After their first son was born in March 1943, he was recalled to Camp Ritchie, Maryland, to teach; the family lived nearby in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Original class-roster scans place him in Class 2 (listed there as Calvin M. Bartholomew, private). A digitized class extract had incorrectly assigned him to Class 8 / section 5A; that line does not appear on the original Class 8 sheets. Officer records also associate ASN 0534746 (second and first lieutenant).
Later wartime assignment included work connected with the ASF Depot in Ogden, Utah. He died in 1991.

| * Also held officer ASN 0534746 (second/first lieutenant roster page; merged into this profile). | ||
* Class assignment corrected from digitized Class 8 / section 5A (not on original Class 8 sheets) to Class 2 per original class scans (roster line “Bartholomew, Calvin M., Pvt”). Stub page Bartholomew, Calvin M retired as the same man. Dan Gross demographics notes also record “Also Class 2 F German.”
* Family memoir excerpt (RB Archive DOCX) supplies Casablanca / instructor details; Stars and Stripes Pacific clippings in the same folder were not used for published vitals.
