. In July, 1945, it seems that Ernest was admitted to the hospital at Camp Ritchie, and had unfortunately got tuberculosis, and was discharged/retired for disability for medical reasons. Ernest passed away on August 27, 1994 at the age of 70. He enlisted on December 9, 1942. According to the attached enlisted record and report of separation document, he served over 2 years stateside.
Ernest Torrez was born on 30 September 1923 in Raton, New Mexico. He entered the Army at Santa Fe on 9 December 1942 and trained as a medical enlisted surgical technician in 1943.
