Victor Hergenreter (30 January 1919 – 2 March 2008) was a United States Army military-intelligence officer who trained at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, in Class 9.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Victor Hergenreter was born on 30 January 1919 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He entered service on 27 July 1942 in military intelligence and trained at Sheppard Field, Texas; Lowry Field, Colorado; West Palm Beach, Florida; Fort Sill, Oklahoma; and Camp Ritchie (Class 9).

Overseas from 1 April 1945, he served in the European Theater, including the Battle of the Rhine, returned on 18 April 1946, and was discharged as a captain at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, on 25 June 1946 after forty-seven months’ service. In civilian life he practiced law. Hergenreter died on 2 March 2008.
