Joseph E. B. Shi (6 July 1920 – 10 March 2004) was born in Leesburg, Georgia, and trained at Camp Ritchie in class 17 (certificate dated 8 May 1944). He was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in connection with military operations against the enemy on Mindanao, Philippine Islands, from 17 April to 30 June 1945. He died in Georgia.
Joseph Emory Barge Shi was born on 6 July 1920 in Leesburg, Georgia. He enlisted in the Army on 16 November 1942 and completed Camp Ritchie's [[:Category:Class 17|Class 17]] on 8 May 1944.
 
As a technical sergeant in military intelligence at X Corps headquarters, Shi worked as a draftsman in a photo-interpretation section. He received the Bronze Star for preparing sketch maps and aerial-photo interpretations under limited field conditions during operations on Mindanao from 17 April to 30 June 1945. Shi died in Georgia on 10 March 2004.
