* Enjoyed Sons And Soldiers. I had the pleasure of meeting another "Richie" boy while commander of Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1997. He was Heinz Eichenwald/Harry Wald. He unfortunately died during this admission. I had a chance to spend time talking to Harry while he was a patient. He and his sister were sent from Germany in 1938. His sister went.

* After the war he returned to Detroit where he became very bored.

* Assigned to IPW Team 14 attached to 100th Infantry Division.
