The following newspaper clipping is from the "Blood and Fire", 63D Infantry Division, Camp Blanding, Florida, Volume 1, Number 5, dated July 16, 1943. Wisniewski, who was attending training at Camp Ritchie, who decided to visit his brother, who had had not seen in fourteen years. He took the train to go visit. A funny story ensues! Give it a read!
Stephen F. Wisniewski was born in 1916. A lieutenant with Regimental Headquarters Company, 253rd Infantry, he attended a military-censorship course at Camp Ritchie (Class 6).
 
While traveling from Camp Ritchie via New York to visit a brother in Jersey City, New Jersey, whom he had not seen in fourteen years, Wisniewski unknowingly shared a train, bus, and cab with a young woman who proved to be his niece—an episode recounted in the 63rd Infantry Division newspaper ''Blood and Fire'' (16 July 1943). He died in 1957.
