Jaffe attended In 1998, he and his wife donated their rare book collection which is now housed in the Jaffe Center for Book Arts at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton FL where Jaffe is Professor Emeritus. He attended Twenty-one or 13 percent were graduates of the 8-week course while more than half entered Camp Ritchie before transferring to Camp Sharpe for post-graduate training. Arthur went to Jerusalem to use the GI Bill to study languages at the Hebrew University.

He graduated Penn State University (BA Languages). He graduated high school in Gibson, MA.

Jaffe sixty-two American enlisted men served as guards, and there were five officers who presided over the camp, along with several other camps around the state.

After World War II ended, Arthur Jaffe went to Palestine and fought in the Jewish War of Independence (1946-8). Jaffe camp Sharpe (also) served as a POW camp and 396 German POWs lived there. He camp Sharpe served as a satellite location for the Indiantown Gap Military Reservation.

He and his colleagues wanted information about which way countries were leaning to influence positions in the United Nations. He moved to Delray Beach after retiring.

He returned to the United States in 1949 and worked in his family's department store chain.

* 1943 — Camp Sharpe (in Gettysburg, PA) was opened and served as a sort of post graduate training school emphasizing psychological operations for selected graduates of the standard 8-week course at Camp Ritchie and many others with special skills in radio, broadcasting, etc.

* Although a major and very visible activity in the current military, the use of Psychological Operations was not as well known in World War II.
