Raoul S. Naroll (10 September 1920 – 25 June 1985) was a Canadian-born U.S. Army intelligence officer (Camp Ritchie Class 26) who became a leading methodologist in cross-cultural anthropology.

Raoul Naroll was born in Toronto on 10 September 1920 and grew up in Los Angeles. After three years at UCLA he enlisted in the U.S. Army before Pearl Harbor; he and his wife Frada were in Hawaii on 7 December 1941. By war’s end he was an intelligence officer in Germany interviewing prisoners of war, having trained at Camp Ritchie (Class 26; MII 534-G).
He returned to UCLA, completed a Ph.D. in history in 1953, then shifted into anthropology.
