Overseas from 1 April 1945, he served in the European Theater, including the Battle of the Rhine, returned on 18 April 1946, and was discharged as a captain at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, on 25 June 1946 after forty-seven months’ service. In civilian life he practiced law. Hergenreter died on 2 March 2008. | |||
