[[Potash, Robert A. (31224431)|Robert A. Potash]] was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1921. He studied history at Harvard, trained at Camp Ritchie (Class 19), and served overseas as a technician fourth grade. After the war he became a historian of Argentine politics and military affairs; his memoir ''Looking Back at My First Eighty Years'' appeared in 2008. He died in 2016.

Interviewed by Allie Brudney on 13 January 2012 at the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, Massachusetts, this oral history covers family life, Jewish identity and Yiddish education, Harvard years, and related themes (English-language recording with video highlight clips on the Center site).
