Biography
Ritchie Boy Guy A. Wiggins came from a family of artists. He might have made painting his career, but his training at Camp Ritchie and service in the Pacific Theater in World War II led him to a career in the Foreign Service. Nevertheless, he found time to continue painting part time, and after he retired, he worked full time for 25 years as an artist. His works are beautiful.
Ritchie Boy Guy Wiggins volunteered in WWII and trained at Camp Ritchie. He served in the Southwest Pacific front and was eventually posted to Douglas MacArthur's headquarters in Tokyo after Japan's surrender. He went on to earn degrees from UCLA (BA), Harvard (MA), and London School of Economics (M.Sc. While working at the Department of State, he studied art at the Corcoran School and the Sculptors Studio. After retirement, he resided in New York City, where he did many paintings of scenes from Greenwich Village and other urban sites.
