He was the Founder and President of Reliance Plastics Corp., on Long Island, NY., which he ran for 25 years. Harry passed away February 11, 1979. Harry graduated from Camp Ritchie on March 6, 1943 from the Fourth Course. Harry was part of MII Team 403G. On February 9, 1945, he was promoted from a Tec-4 to a Tec-3. According to Harry's separation record, he entered active service on November 9, 1942 and separated on December 12, 1945. The summary of his military occupations says that Harry was an interpreter and interrogator. He interpreted French and German into American (English). Worked with counter intelligence asking civilians in occupied territory for information concerning the enemy. Harry served overseas, 20 months in the ETO with 3rd Army HQ. He was authorized to wear 4 battle stars on his ETO ribbon. Harry went to MITC Camp Ritchie, taking the French Interpreter course in 1943. He also attended the American School Center in England, taking Combat Intelligence in 1944. Harry's daughter, Linda, has kindly provided us with a number of documents and some photos relating to his service. I have attached some of that documentation and photos.
