Author Neal Bascomb has written a riveting story about [[Dreyfus, Rene Albert (32465903)|Rene Dreyfus]], a French automobile racer during the late 1930's, and his triumph over the Nazi-sponsored racing team of the Silver Arrows. What's fascinating is that on the most important race event, one of the radio listeners was [[Werner, Hans (32459744)|Hans Werner]] ("John") Weitz, a Jewish youngster living in England who had recently fled Nazi Germany. He later emigrated to the United States, served in the US Army as a Ritchie Boy, and went on to have a distinguished career as a menswear designed!
