Louis A. Morales (1921–2021) was a Ritchie Boy (from Puerto Rico) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 3.

Biography

Luis (Louis) Morales Melendez passed away in April 2021 at age 100. Every Ritchie Boy's story is unique. Whether they emigrated from Germany, Austria, Italy or Japan or were born in the United States, learned to speak German or Italian at home or at school, came with a high school education or college degree, they all came together at Camp Ritchie with a common mission - to use their training in military intelligence to help break the morale of the enemy and gather information about the enemy troops movements and their state of mind. He didn't match the typical profile of a but fit in well, served his country heroically, and needs to be recognized for his heroism.
