Walter Mandelbaum (28 July 1924 – 24 August 1944) was a Ritchie Boy (from Poland; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 11 and served with IPW Team 66.

Biography

Walter worked as stock clerk; tanned skins. Fifty Ritchie Boys died while in service during World War II. Ritchie Boy Corporal Walter Mandelbaum was born on July 28, 1924 and died on August 24, 1944. He is buried at the Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY Ritchie Boy Walter Mandelbaum was born on July 28, 1924. Walter Mandelbaum was 15 years old at the outbreak of World War II, which began the European phase of the War. Walter Mandelbaum died on 20 Aug 1944 at the age of 20, and he is buried at Cypress Hills National Cemetery in Cypress Hills, Kings, New York, United States.
