Sidney J. Horwitz (1907–1981) was a United States Army serviceman who trained at Camp Ritchie in Class 7 and served with IPW Team 40 and the 82nd Airborne Division.

Biography

Horwitz was born in New York City to German-Jewish parents. Before entering the Army, he worked as a general clerk for an oil company and a brokerage firm. He served as a chief clerk with the 82nd Airborne Division and later trained at Camp Ritchie, where the timeline identifies him with Class 7 and IPW Team 40. Horwitz was promoted to technician third grade in December 1943. He later deployed to France by glider on June 7, 1944, with the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment.
