William S. Scheuer was born in 1906 in Germany. He trained at Camp Ritchie with Class 4 and served as a second lieutenant with IPW Team 90 (also associated with later IPW codes on the roster). On 20 August 1944, MIS ETO Special Orders No. 224 listed him with IPW Team 90 when PW interrogation teams were attached to G-2, Forward Echelon Communications Zone.
Teammate Alfred Burns later described Scheuer riding in the jeep that was hit under fire while the team moved toward Paris; Scheuer suffered a broken leg and was evacuated toward England. Scheuer died in 1986.
