It reads, in part, "During the actual operations (December 1-8, 1944), ... through his untiring efforts, attention to details, high standards and personal initiative, the intelligence mission was successfully accomplished, thereby reflecting credit upon himself and the military service. I want to thank Romy Block-Posner for providing the following information about her grand-uncle, Julius Siegel, a Ritchie Boy from Alsace Lorraine. RB Siegel considered himself German since the rest of his family was from Mosbach, Germany, and German was his first language.
