Texas, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Camp Roberts, Fort Ord, Fort Mt Dowell, California, Camp Murray, Fort Lewis, Washington, University of Washington, Camp Ritchie, Maryland and Camp Clatsup, Oregon. He was sent overseas: March 7, 1944 and returned: January 3, 1946. He served in Southwest Pacific Theatre, and was in the following engagements: Leyte, Hollandia, Western Luzon and Bataan Peninsula, Mindanao. He was awarded the following: Bronze Star, Purple Heart, American Theatre Ribbon, Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon W/3 Battle Stars, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon W/3 Stars and, Bronze Arrowhead. He served at total of 44 months, and cchieved the rank of Captain. Robert Campbell was discharged from Camp McCoy, Wisconsin on March 25, 1946.
