Biography

Ritchie Boy Andrew Rolle was on the faculty of Occidental College until his retirement in 1988. After he retired, Professor Rolle served as a research scholar at the Huntington Library. Rolle published more than 20 books on the history of California, the American West, ethics, and psychohistory—a bibliography worthy of the Robert Glass Cleland Professor of American History Emeritus. Among his history books was The Lost Cause/The Confederate Exodus to Mexico (see below).
