Lehmann (1921–2018) was a German-born Ritchie Boy who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 9 and served overseas as a second lieutenant. In September 1944, while with the U.S. Fifth Army near Firenzuola, Italy, he and Sgt. Michael J. Baglio gathered information from Italian partisans (National Museum of American Diplomacy).
