Alfred C. White (1917–1971) was a Ritchie Boy (from United States; Christian Science) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 4.

Biography

Alfred C. White (1917–1971) of Massachusetts joined the 87th Infantry (later the 10th Mountain Division), attended officer training at Fort Benning, and trained at Camp Ritchie in class 4 in aerial photo interpretation and military intelligence. He was not Jewish; his grandmother was German and he spoke German. He fought in Normandy, Northern France, and the Rhineland, was severely wounded at Aachen on 8 October 1944, and was discharged with a 100% disability. He received the Purple Heart and the Silver Star.
