Edgar W. Kann (1917–1995) was a Ritchie Boy (from Germany; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 13 and served with IPW Team 41.

Biography

One of the great all-time stories of how the Ritchie Boys were so successful at interrogating German POWs can be found on pp 293-296 of Bruce Henderson's book, Sons and Soldiers. It's the tale of how Guy Stern and the late Fred Howard, with assistance from Ritchie Boy the late Capt. Edgar Kann, came up with the technique of introducing POWs to Commisar Krukov! It's a classic.
