Joseph E. B. Shi (6 July 1920 – 10 March 2004) was a Ritchie Boy (from United States; Protestant) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 17.
Biography
Joseph E. B. Shi (6 July 1920 – 10 March 2004) was born in Leesburg, Georgia, and trained at Camp Ritchie in class 17 (MITC certificate dated 8 May 1944). As a technical sergeant in military intelligence with X Corps headquarters, he served as a draftsman for a photo interpretation section and was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement on Mindanao, Philippine Islands, from 17 April to 30 June 1945—preparing sketch maps from aerial photographs under limited facilities. He died in Georgia.
