Egon Arthur Weiss, 84, Librarian Emeritus of the United States Military Academy & pioneer in information technology, died Sept~~. He was a Ritchie Boy~~. Born the son of a physician in Vienna, Austria in 1919, Egon emigrated to NYC to escape the wrath of Hitler after he invaded in 1938. Weiss was drafted into the Army in 1942, the same year the Military Intelligence Training Center was activated at Camp Ritchie. He was trained as an interrogator at Camp Ritchie, MD~~. He was assigned to U.S~~. Army Seventh Corps and applied his German and French language skills during the Battle of the Bulge, liberation of concentration camps and in post war Germany.
