Charles Jr Sajben (1913–1966) was a Ritchie Boy (born Sabjen; from United States; Protestant) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 6.
Biography
Charles Jr. Sajben was born in New Jersey on 28 July 1913 and served in the U.S. Army. A 1 July 1944 issue of the 63rd Infantry Division newspaper Blood and Fire mentions Sajben in the article 'Two Lieutenants Become Captains,' which reported promotions among officers assigned to division headquarters.
A family-supplied account states that Sajben died on 22 November 1966 and was buried at Arlington National Cemetery. The same account reports that his headstone identifies him as a colonel and records a Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster; the headstone itself is not among the files in this gallery.
