Eric Waldman (1914–2007) was a United States Army Second Lieutenant who trained at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, in Class 10. An Austrian-born Ritchie Boy who later worked with the Gehlen organization at Fort Hunt and in postwar Germany.
Biography
Eric Waldman (born Erich) fled Vienna after the Anschluss and trained at Camp Ritchie, later instructing there and serving in War Department G-2. Near the end of the war he supervised German Fremde Heere Ost officers at Fort Hunt and helped manage the Gehlen group in occupied Germany. He later earned a doctorate and lectured widely on European politics and NATO. See the full story.
