- 6 April 1943 — Became naturalized U.S. citizen in Hagerstown, MD.
- 30 June 1943 — Promoted to T/3.
- Sometimes confused with another Ritchie Boy, Cpl Eric M. Albrecht, who served together with Sgt George R. Allen as members of a Counter Intelligence Corps Detachment stationed at Berchtesgaden in May 1945.
