Henry Lowenstern (died 8 April 2021) was a Ritchie Boy (from Germany; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 26 and served with IPW Team 218.
Biography[edit | edit source]
On 3 March 1945, Lowenstern graduated with 26th Class (German) Certificate 10292. Worked for Department of Labor (Bureau of Labor Statistics). Henry was born in Korbach, Germany, and came to the United States when he was 11. He trained at Camp Ritchie and went overseas as a First Lieutenant where he interrogated German prisoners of war and investigated war crimes. He is a novelist and also publishes a monthly Voices to Veterans column in which he writes profiles of veterans whose stories have been sent to him.
