William K. Riehl (1920–2021) was a Ritchie Boy (from *) who trained at Camp Ritchie.

Biography[edit | edit source]

"Bill" Riehl (1920–2020) enlisted in the U.S. On 22 January 1944, William graduated from Special Class B-10. He trained at Camp Ritchie and served in counterintelligence with the Counter Intelligence Corps Detachment, Intelligence Division, Third Service Command, at Baltimore. He did not serve overseas. He received the Good Conduct Medal and a Maryland Certificate of Appreciation for his World War II service, including work on counterintelligence related to possible espionage against the U.S.
