Biography

Thanks again to reader Peter Pelletier for sharing this fascinating story about another Canadian Ritchie Boy, Lt. The Montana Distillery, Devil's Brigade Whiskey, created a special batch of their whiskey in honor of RB William Story. He was sent to Camp Ritchie for training in military intelligence.

Upon completion of his training, he was assigned to the 5th Company, 2nd Regiment, as a 1st Platoon Section Leader. "Devil’s Brigade Whiskey is distilled in Montana and Canada, then expertly blended and bottled by Willie’s Distillery in Ennis, MT. This unique blend consists of 60% American Bourbon and 40% Canadian Whisky, mirroring the proportion of American and Canadian men assigned to the Devil’s Brigade during WWII.

Just as the Unit carried the V-42 Knife into combat, this spirit boasts a 42% ABV for your enjoyment. This matches the original fighting unit that had 60% Americans and 40% Canadian."
