Alexander Lucien Gilbert (1922–2005) was a Ritchie Boy (from Romania; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 7.
Biography edit
Alexander Lucien Gilbert (born Lucien Alexandre Givelberg) was a French-born Ritchie Boy. He fled Marseilles with his parents at the end of 1940 and changed his name upon obtaining U.S. Citizenship. Fluent in English, he was transferred to Camp Ritchie; family accounts place him with the Third Army.
