Kurt Meyer (1922–2014) was a United States Army soldier associated with Camp Ritchie, Maryland.
Biography edit
Kurt Meyer was born in Germany on 19 February 1922. He escaped Germany in 1936 and came to the United States.
A fluent German speaker, Meyer trained at Camp Ritchie (Class 16) and served with Patton's Third Army. His prisoner-of-war work included interviewing German captives and screening them for members of the SS. He also held enlisted Army serial number 36648641 before receiving officer serial number 0552568.
Meyer died on 18 January 2014.
