Charles Richard Warndof (1899–1983) was a United States Army Lieutenant Colonel on the staff and faculty at Camp Ritchie.

Biography

Charles Richard Warndof was a pioneer instructor in Army prisoner-of-war interrogation training before Camp Ritchie opened, including service as senior instructor at Camp Blanding and later at Camp Bullis, Texas. Faculty records list an arrival or alert date of 1 July 1942. When Camp Ritchie was activated in 1942, he transferred with the Bullis staff and continued as an instructor in the Enemy Armies section; faculty notes record him as section chief in November 1944. He received the Legion of Merit.
