William K. Riehl (1920–2021) was a Ritchie Boy (from *) who trained at Camp Ritchie.

Biography

William K. "Bill" Riehl (1920–2020) enlisted in the U.S. Army on 8 December 1941, the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor, at Baltimore, Maryland. He trained at Camp Ritchie and served in counterintelligence with the Counter Intelligence Corps Detachment, Intelligence Division, Third Service Command, at Baltimore. He did not serve overseas. He received the Good Conduct Medal and a Maryland Certificate of Appreciation for his World War II service, including work on counterintelligence related to possible espionage against the U.S. aircraft industry.
