John Louis Englander (1919–2007) was a Ritchie Boy (from Germany; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 18 and served with IPW Team 185.

Biography

On 9 December 1942, he was naturalized at Fort Smith, AR. This letter, dated 16 June 1944, is from the Adjutant General to the Commanding Officer MITC, Camp Ritchie, MD., announcing the temporary appointment of John Louis Englander as 2nd Lt. in the Adjutant General's Office. about Ritchie Boy John Louis Englander, who emigrated from Augsburg, Germany. On 24 June 1944, Special Order 151 specified that 40 IPW teams are to be transferred to Camp Myles Standish, Taunton, MA for transshipment overseas via Boston POE. Worked as stock clerk and typist.
