Adam M. Cucuzzella (1922–1988) was a Ritchie Boy (from United States) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 5.
Biography
CUCUZZELLA (1922-1988). Adam Cucuzzella was born in January 23, 1922 in Nancy, Ohio. He was drafted into the US Army on November 7, 1942 as a Private First Class while he was living in the Bronx, NY. Ritchie Boy Adam Cucuzzella completed his training at Camp Ritchie on April 9, 1943. He departed from Fort Hamilton, NY on the SS Evangeline for Algiers where he arrived on June 21, 1943 and was attached to the First Army. He Graduated high school. Worked as sales clerk. Tech Sergeant Cucuzzella served in the following campaigns/battles: Ardennes Central Europe Normandy Northern France Rhineland Sicily He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Europe, Africa, Middle East Service Medal. Sergeant Cucuzzella also served in Mobile Field Interrogation Unit-4 (MFIU-4), and his last assignment in the Army was with HQ Company of the 26th Infantry Division RB Cucuzzella returned home in October 1945. He passed away in 1988.
