Harold K. Hochschild (1892–1981) was a United States Army Major who trained at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, in Class 4.

Biography

In 1912, Harold graduated from Yale University. He attended Camp Ritchie - Graduate of 4th Class (IPW Ge). He attended Lawrence University (LLD). In 1934, he president of American Metal Co. He became president of the company in 1934. He worked as a sHAEF (Silver Star); Environmentalist; Philanthropist; Adirondack Park; Yaddo Artist Colony; Chairman, African-American Institute; Author of books on Adirondacks (railroads, resort hotels, steamboats). He married Mary Marquand in 1941 and they had one son, Adam. He served as chairman of New York Governor Nelson A. He served as president of the Adirondack Historical Association and as trustee of the New York State Historical Association. He army during World War II and after two years of service in Europe, he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He died in 1981.
