Eric Heinz Bondy (1924–2014) was a United States Army Private First Class who trained at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, in Class 15. Eric enlisted at Rutland, Vermont.
Biography
He Graduated with BS History. He attended Served as Headmaster of Windsor Mountain Boarding School, Lenox, MA. In 1941, he Graduated high school in Manchester, VT. In 1941, he attended 2 Attended Swarthmore College (major Political Science). On 4 March 1944, he Graduated as T/5 with 15th Class Section 5B (IPW-Ge/German linguist). Pfc Bondy was the youngest member of his Ritchie Class (by at least 5 years). Became part of CIC and served with the CIA.

- Born 2 June 1924 in Hamburg (?), Germany as Heinz Christoff Erich Bondy. Parents Max and Gertrud (Wiener) Bondy were Jewish by heritage but who raised Heinz and sister as Lutherans.
- 21 November 1943 — Arrived as Pfc at Camp Ritchie. Languages German, French.
- 4 March 1944 — Graduated as T/5 with 15th Class Section 5B (IPW-Ge/German linguist). Notable names from his CR section include Philip Glaessner and Alois Liethen. With one exception (Samuel Butterklee), none of his Section 5B classmates are alive. He has no recollection of his classmates. He recalls 1st Sgt Man Mountain Dean (rented cars to RBs for weekends).
- 3/43 Basic training with 86th Infantry Division, then 10th Mountain Div. Camp.
- Became part of CIC and served with the CIA.
- Served with IPW Team 50 attached to the 79th Infantry Division.
