In 1942, Bowman attended 3 Studied at Swarthmore College (Political Science major). On 14 December 1944, He returned to Camp Ritchie.

Bowman served with CIA in Berne (8 years), Vienna (7 years), Athens (4 years). In January 1947, He graduated from Swarthmore. In 2007, Bowman moved to Ballston Lake, NY.
