On 20 August 1944, Headquarters, Military Intelligence Service, European Theater of Operations (APO 887), issued Special Orders No. 224 (extract) relieving named officers and enlisted men of the Field Interrogation Detachment (APO 654) and attaching them to G-2, Forward Echelon Communications Zone (Fwd Ech Com Z, APO 350) as PW Interrogation Teams.
