Paul Fairbrook (ASN 32709209) was a Ritchie Boy (from Germany; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 7.
Biography
In 2001, the Best Defense Foundation flew several WWII Veterans to Berlin, Germany, including two Ritchie Boys - Guy Stern and Paul Fairbrook, and they are planning another trip to Germany in November 2023. Ritchie Boy Paul Fairbrook, a larger-than-life food services director at University of the Pacific who had a vital role gathering intelligence in World War II, died peacefully Oct. 2 at the age of 100. The Best Defense Foundation, is a non-profit whose mission is "Taking care of the ones who took care of us.
The Foundation works tirelessly to take WWII Veterans back to the battlefields where they served. They have offered to include any Ritchie Boys in their upcoming trip and have asked us to reach out to the RB Community. Please contact us if you know of a Ritchie Boy who would be interested in this program.
