Harry G. Skipper (8 May 1920 – 25 February 2009) was a Ritchie Boy who trained at Camp Ritchie.

Not everyone who went through Camp Ritchie did went through the 8 week courses. Harry "Cecil" Skipper, born May 8 1920 in Illinois, passed away February 25, 2009 is one such example. At the end of 1941, Harry enlisted. From January 2 to April 2, 1942, he was at "The Infantry Replacement Training Center" at Camp Roberts, California. He successfully completed the "thirteen weeks schedule of training". He was attached to Company C, 87th Infantry Training Battalion. He was a Private at the time. On a letter dated December 15 1944, T Sgt Harry C. Skipper satisfactorily completed a "SPECIAL COURSE" for "DIVISION CLASS THIRTY-SIX" given at The Military Intelligence Training Center, Camp Ritchie, during the period of November 17-December 15, 1944.

His separation record state he was in Basic Training (521) for 3 months as a Private, Operation NCO (814) for 11 months as a Sgt., Clerical NCO (870) as a T/4 for 6 months, followed by Intelligence NCO (631) for 30 months. He was an expert with his rifle, and participated in the "Central Europe" battle/campaign. He earned numerous medals and ribbons.
