Peter H. Weidenreich (1923–1998) was a United States Army soldier associated with Camp Ritchie, Maryland.

Biography

Peter H. Weidenreich (1923–1998), who later changed his name to Peter Wyden, was a German-born Ritchie Boy. He appears in a wartime group photograph of Ritchie Boys at Camp Ritchie with Ernest Wynder, Konrad Kellen, Stefan Heym, Louis Atlas, and Joseph Eaton (see gallery caption). After the war he became an author; his son Ron Wyden is a U.S. senator from Oregon.
