Biography

Harry "Cecil" Skipper (8 May 1920 – 25 February 2009) was born in Illinois and enlisted at the end of 1941. From 2 January to 2 April 1942 he trained at the Infantry Replacement Training Center at Camp Roberts, California (Company C, 87th Infantry Training Battalion). A letter dated 15 December 1944 states that T/Sgt Harry C. Skipper satisfactorily completed a special course for Division Class 36 at the Military Intelligence Training Center, Camp Ritchie (17 November–15 December 1944), rather than the standard eight-week course.
