David D. Silberberg (1921–2007) was a Ritchie Boy (from Germany; Jewish) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 18.
Biography
It all starts in April 1945 with First Lieutenant and Ritchie Boy David Silberberg of the Combat and Counter-Intelligence Section of the 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division ( "He was born in 1921 in the Harz Mountains region in Germany where he and his family fled the Nazi-Occupied country in 1936. Silberberg joined the US Army in 1942 and became a naturalised citizen that same year. In April 1945, David wanted to return to the same area he grew up again, and found himself in an area near Degenershausen.
