Hans Curt Bubel (3 October 1925 – 2018) was a Ritchie Boy (born Curt; from Germany; Catholic) who trained at Camp Ritchie in class 26.
Biography
. Born October 3, 1925 in Mannheim, Germany. Immigrated to Salt Lake City in 1928. Following high school he was drafted and sent to Camp Ritchie, MD for training in military intelligence. Arriving in Europe on VE Day, he was assigned to a team searching for enemy documents for use in the Nuremburg trials. Curt pursued his PhD at the University of Utah as a Polio Fellow; then came to Cincinnati where, for more than 30 years he taught medical students and directed research. He was a member of Sigma Xi and Alpha Omega Alpha, honorary medical societies. He was most proud of the Golden Apple, awarded by students for teaching excellence. He passed away Nov. 16, 2018 at the age of 93. He recorded a a video interview for the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library's "Veterans History Project". According to the information he provided to them: He served 1944-1946 in the U.S. Army and his highest rank was Sergeant. His units included 13 Airborne Divison, 326th Glider Infantry, Military Intelligence Service, 3rd Army.

Bubel was one of these and I am trying to find out more about him and especially his military career.
