Martin S: Ochs (1923–2008) was a United States Army soldier associated with Camp Ritchie, Maryland.

Biography

Martin Shelby Ochs was born in 1923. He enlisted in the Army Reserve Corps in November 1942 and entered active duty on 17 March 1943.

Ochs trained as an artilleryman at Fort Sill, studied German and intelligence at the University of Pittsburgh, and completed a photographic-interpretation course at Camp Ritchie. After Infantry Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, he was commissioned a second lieutenant on 7 December 1944 and returned to Camp Ritchie for German order-of-battle training. He instructed at the European Theater Intelligence School from January through June 1946, was promoted to first lieutenant, and separated at Fort Dix in August 1946. Ochs died in 2008.
